I love photographing weddings for high school sweethearts. There’s something extra special knowing that the couple has been together forever, and that they already have so much beautiful history together! It was such an honor and joy celebrating Elizabeth & Robbie’s October wedding with them at Legacy Stables and Events in Winston Salem NC.

First things first, let’s talk about that DRESS! Elizabeth’s dress gave all the soft, flowy, romantic vibes – with her curls and her veil, she was suuuuch a stunning and gorgeous bride. More puffy, flowy sleeves at weddings please! (oh and the sleeves were removable- how cool?!). The attention to details throughout the wedding were beautiful and timeless. Take a peek at Robbie’s boutonniere and how beautifully it ties in to all the florals of the day. I can’t decide if my favorite detail of the day is the R+E reception sign or the vintage Ford Mustang! The sign was such a neat idea, and really made for some timeless and unique dance floor photos of these high school sweethearts.

Let’s talk about first looks for a second. Elizabeth did not one, not two, not three, but FOUR first looks! First looks with your partner and parents are becoming more and more common, but Elizabeth also did a really sweet first look with her twin brother. It was such a sweet and awesome way to honor the unique and special twin bond!

Legacy Stables was the perfect wedding venue for Elizabeth and Robbie’s beautiful day, providing a variety of backgrounds and so much lush, beautiful greenery for our portrait session! The grounds are so dynamic, and with so much fall color, Robbie & Elizabeth lucked out with perfect, crisp October weather. They also have beautiful getting ready location, ceremony space, and a very large and beautiful reception area. As you can see in the photos below, their reception was an amazing time!
